We are very excited about our 2017 Hawk Walk, a two mile walk-a-thon, being held THIS Friday, April 7! This annual staff/student event is a wonderful opportunity for us to raise money for an important cause.
All proceeds from this year's Hawk Walk will benefit the Hair to Share Foundation, a local non-profit organization that provides wigs to cancer patients who do not have insurance or who cannot afford to purchase a wig on their own. We look forward to a great day of walking together to raise money for Hair to Share and thank you in advance for your support.
Students will walk a two-mile (approximate) course on campus and are reminded to:
- Wear safe, low-heeled, traction-soled, closed shoes for protection, support and comfort (sneakers or hiking footwear are recommended)
- Wear clothing appropriate for the weather and activity.
- Sunscreen will be available, however hats may be needed for sun protection and comfort.
Water and healthy snacks will be available for all walkers.
