Hunterdon Preparatory School is 50!

This year, Hunterdon Preparatory School is celebrating its 50th anniversary! In 1975, our school opened its doors as the Hunterdon Learning Center, with 12 students and three staff members. Now, fifty years later, we enroll more than 65 students and have a staff of 30! We have grown in leaps and bounds since 1975, but our mission has remained the same: to provide academic, experiential, and support services enabling students to discover their gifts and talents and become productive and contributing members of their communities.

Whether you were a member of the Hunterdon Learning Center school community at its original location on Hoffmans Crossing Road in Califon, NJ, or if you are or were a member of the Hunterdon Prep community at its current home in Annandale, NJ, you share a common membership in our unique social and academic community. Together, our time and experiences at Hunterdon Prep have influenced and shaped who we are now and who we will become. We have been partners in the process of learning and growing in a school community like no other, defined by mutual respect, support, and acceptance.

As a community of students, alumni, staff members, family, and friends, we have alot to celebrate! Hunterdon Prep invites you, your friends, and your families to join us in celebrating the school’s 50th anniversary. We will host two anniversary events to mark this milestone: “A Night at the Ballpark” at TD Stadium in Bridgewater, NJ, on Friday, June 27th, and a community picnic in the fall of this year (date to be determined). We would love to have you join us for one or both events to connect with your classmates and teachers, to reminisce about school memories, and to create new ones.
