frequently asked questions
We welcome your telephone calls, emails, and scheduled school visits to discuss specific questions that you have about our admissions process.
What is the age range of students attending Hunterdon Prep?
Students attending Hunderdon Prep are generally between the ages of 12 (7th grade) and 21. Because our goal is to meet each student where they are in their academic process we do not necessarily place students into courses based on age or "traditional" grade level. Each student's placement is unique to their situation.
Will Hunterdon Prep accept my child mid-year?
Yes, Hunterdon Prep accepts students on a rolling basis. Students are admitted to Hunterdon Prep throughout the school year.
Does the admissions process include a visit for my child? What can they expect during that visit?
After your child has been referred for out-of-district placement and our Admissions Team has concluded that your child is a good match for our program, an interview will be scheduled. This will be your child's opportunity to visit Hunterdon Prep. Your child will have an interview with the Admissions Counselor, go on a tour of the school, visit classrooms, and have time to talk with other students.
