Grace's Artist Statement follows:
"Developing a new skill will always be difficult. It takes time, patience and practice, but most importantly, dedication. When I picked up a pencil to begin my first drawing, it looked like it had been made by a six year old -probably because it was. Instead of giving up after seeing all of those sloppy pieces of art, I continued to work on my technique and work with different mediums. Over the years, I've discovered that I prefer sketching and using colored pencils. I've also come to enjoy using watercolors and digital drawing. To any budding artists, I encourage you to keep practicing. Looking back on all of the progress I've made always inspires me to keep drawing and making art."
