Our art students took a trip into Pennsylvania to visit The Philadelphia Magic Gardens this month and it was an awesome experience.
This art environment was created by Isaiah Zagar and is filled with mosaic art created with ceramic tile, glass bottles, seashells, bicycle wheels and other found objects that withstand the weather. Our students were intrigued by the creativity and enormity of the place and loved hearing about Mr. Zagar's history and creation of the space.
Some of the students were participants in this summer's mosaic art theme week and knew first hand how to make tiles, glue and grout art pieces. It was a wonderful day spent looking at art and having lunch at a nearby park. The experience itself will hopefully make a lasting impression on all who attended!
