Events happening this week at Hunterdon Prep

We have a lot going on in December! To keep you up-to-the minute, here are some of things happening this week:

  • On Tuesday, 12/9, from 9:00-1:00, the Troupe and Nest homerooms will be going to the theater at Centenary College in Hackettstown, NJ, to see a performance of “The Wizard of Oz”.
  • On Wednesday, 12/10, the Cave homeroom is having a waffle sale. Waffles with fixings will be $2.00.
  • Also on Wednesday, Montserrat College of Art, located in Beverly, MA is coming to do a presentation during 7th period. All Art Studio (7th and 8th) students will be attending. Any additional students who would like to attend, please should Ms. Bleignier by Tuesday, 12/9. This presentation is open to all ages.
  • On Friday, 12/12, the Hive homeroom is hosting a Holiday Market. Students who have signed up to participate will be selling a variety of items including homemade crafts, clothing, stuffed animals, baked goods and more! Items will range in price from approximately $1.00 - $15.00.

Last, but definitely not least, Mr. Fenwick is excited to share that he will be welcoming a new Seeing Eye puppy over the holiday break—a female Lab/Golden cross! The Seeing Eye has pre-assigned her a name beginning with the letter “R,” but the exact name will remain a surprise until her arrival.

For a $2.00 donation, students are invited to guess the new puppy’s name! The contest will close on Tuesday, December 23rd. All proceeds will be donated to The Seeing Eye.

If the correct name is guessed, the winner will receive:

  • The honor of being the first HPS community member to hold the new puppy
  • A private 40-minute one-on-one play session (note: she may prefer napping!)
  • Exclusive Seeing Eye merchandise
