Class of 2026 - Your student is scheduled to take the NJGPA in March

Dear Parents/Guardians of Class of 2026,

I wanted to reach out and inform you that your child will be taking the NJGPA (New Jersey Graduation Proficiency Assessment) this March. The NJGPA is required by the State of New Jersey Department of Education as part of the requirements for graduation. Students throughout the state of NJ take the test in the Spring of their Junior year.

Students expected to graduate with the class of 2026 will be required to sit for, and pass, the New Jersey Graduation Proficiency Assessment (NJGPA). The NJGPA covers content aligned to the New Jersey Student Learning Standards for 10th grade ELA (English Language), Algebra 1, and Geometry. The NJGPA will consist of two units for ELA and two units for math, with 90 minutes allotted for each unit.

NJGPA Spring testing will take place at Hunterdon Prep during the week of March 10-14, 2025. Please encourage your child to get a good night’s sleep the evenings prior to testing, eat breakfast the morning of testing, and to be present in school the days of testing.

NJGPA ELA testing will take place on Monday & Wednesday March 10th & 11th.

NJGPA Math testing will take place on Thursday & Friday March 13th & 14th.

If for some reason your child is not present on testing days, the makeup test dates will take place the week of March 17-20.

Please do not hesitate to reach out to me with any questions regarding NJGPA testing via email mevancho@hunterdonprep.org or (908) 832-7200 ext. 16.

Sincerely,

Melissa Evancho
