Hunterdon Preparatory School is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year! Our school, formerly Hunterdon Learning Center, opened in 1975. At the close of its first school year, there were 12 students and three staff! Now, 50 years later, we average 65 students per year and have a staff of 30!
Over the years, more than 2,000 students have had the opportunity to experience an “Outside of the Box” approach to education. Our school has grown in leaps and bounds since 1975, but our mission has remained the same: to provide academic, experiential, and support services that will enable students to discover their gifts and talents to become productive and contributing members of their communities. And we keep going strong.
There is a lot to celebrate and we need your help. We are planning two different events over the course of this year (2025). If you are interested in serving on a 50th anniversary planning/steering committee (meetings will be virtual), please email me by next Friday, Feb. 21st at akopacz@hunterdonprep.org. If you are unable to participate in our steering committee, we hope you will join us for both events. Details about the events will be forthcoming as the planning evolves, so stay tuned! As always, thank you for your continued support.
