On Thursday, January 12th, a small group of students and staff visited Glassworks Studio in Morristown to learn how to make a glass fused project. The art adventure was inspiring and exciting as everyone experienced a new art medium. We can’t wait to see the results after they’ve been kiln fired.
After Glassworks, we all went to a local pizzeria for dinner and then headed back to HPS for a sleepover. Ice cream sundaes, scary movies and games went on until 11pm and then it was lights out for the evening. Everyone was up by 7 and had a delicious breakfast, made by our cooking class, of waffles, fruit and oatmeal.
Sharing this experience was a great way to bond with each other in a variety of ways. All of the students shared that they had a great time, learned about their classmates, made a ton of new memories, and learned some new art tricks.
