Our "WEEK OF RESPECT" begins on October 4 and will end with a delicious celebration on October 7! Our Week of Respect will focus on an increased awareness of bullying prevention with a highlight each day on a different aspect of respect. At HPS, respect is a very important value and during this week our goal is to continue to instill that value in our community.
- October 4 is all about “RESPECTING YOURSELF”. A “take what you need board” will help remind students that respecting yourself is number one!
- October 5 will focus on “RESPECTING OTHERS”. Students and staff will be challenged to become a community of “Upstanders” who take action against bullying when they see or hear it happening.
- On October 6, "RESPECTING RELIGIONS” will be the talk of the day. By educating ourselves about different religions, we not only learn respect for customs and observations different from our own, but about how cool and interesting we all are!
- On October 7, we will celebrate all of our wonderful differences and similarities with an International Food Festival as we cap off the week with a day dedicated to “RESPECTING CULTURES”.
