HPS in the community

At Hunterdon Prep we believe that engagement in the greater community brings growth and meaningful experiences to our students. HPS students are regularly involved in service opportunites to encourage philanthropy, selflessness and awareness of actions performed for the greater good. HPS students take pride in their commitment to help others and thrive with each new chance to demonstrate their compassion and regard for the community and the world.

These are just a few areas where HPS students and staff have been involved lately.

THE SEEING EYE dog program - welcome, Tinker!

Tinker came to HPS as a young puppy. German Shephard's make reliable, loyal service dogs and Tinker is spending two years at Hunterdon Prep, under the watchful eye of Mr. Fenwick, training to be a seeing eye dog. Tinker will be with us until the spring of 2017.

donating time and talent to THE RED MILL

For several years, Hunterdon Prep students and staff have been assisting in the construction and installation of props and scenes that transform the Clinton Red Mill into the Haunted Red Mill for thousands of people to enjoy during the Halloween season.

supporting our VETERANS

Over the years we have supported veterans through the donation of needed items including blankets, back packs, toiletries, and warm clothing. Our annual Hawk Walk charity walk raised funds for our friends at Veterans Haven North located in Glen Gardner, NJ, and during the holidays our vocal lab class lends their voices on a holiday caroling outing.

holiday traditions and the YMCA angel patrol

Hunterdon Prep students are always busy in the community during the winter holidays. We support the Hunterdon County YMCA's angel patrol project by sponsoring holiday gifts for local families and donating needed items for agencies serving the community. HPS homerooms often work together to raise funds in order to provide gifts for this annual event.

we love animals

We love supporting our four-legged friends and nothing is better than holding, petting, and sharing the love with the cats and kittens at Tabby's Place! Our school community enthusiastically collects and delivers needed items to Tabby's Place, The Seeing Eye, and Common Sense for Animals, a shelter located in Warren County, NJ.
